About the podcast

Unpretty is a fortnightly podcast centered around conversations about the concept of beauty through the stories of People of Colour by creator & host, Chinazo Ufodiama, and producers, Ayo Sule, and Kaydine Biscette.

Each episode is focused on one single theme, with the help of special guests we explore the meaning of beauty, societal misrepresentation, decipher myths, and share personal stories and rituals.

We discuss perceptions of beauty that are so deeply ingrained in society from discrimination, appropriation, or simply lack of options, while also celebrating the beauty that is the POC experience - self-love, culture, rituals and entrepreneurship.
